Tel Aviv | Premiere of the film “Delayed Reaction.” 

Tel Aviv Cinematheque | Andre Gasiorowski and Marek Rozenbaum appeared as Producers of the film “Delayed Reaction” (תגובה מאוחרת) by Shmulik Calderon.

PLOT SUMMARY | Tel Aviv 1991, days before the 1st Gulf War. 33-year-old Manny’s life flows without direction and commitment in circles of self-destruction. The tension of the Gulf War creates pressure on his life system, the economic problems close him down, and he is attacked by increasing anxiety until he has a mental attack. He imagines he is walking the streets of Lebanon with his platoon, and they are fighting the terrorists. That night, Manny is hospitalized in a mental hospital; initially, he thinks the Arabs have captured and tortured him. He wakes up in a world “beyond the mirror,” where he realizes that he suffers from delayed combat reaction PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), which shines a different light on the His life path.

SHMULIK CALDERON | Shmuel Calderon is an Israeli actor, director, and producer. Since 1972 he has been active in the Israeli theatre and film industry, producing and appearing in over 200 films and series. In the past, he participated in the Yom Kippur War in the Military Intelligence Corps, the 14th Brigade, and the 401st Brigade in the Southern Sector. He suffered from delayed combat reaction PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).

MAREK ROZENBAUM | Marek Rozenbaum Polish-Israeli film producer and director. He is one of the most recognized and respected film producers in Israel. He was born in Poland. In 1969 he emigrated to Israel and settled in Tel Aviv. He is the Chairman of the Film and Television Council at the Israel Export Institute, President of the Israel Film Academy. For 6 years, he was the Chairman of the Israel Film and Television Producers Association, and to this day, he is a member of the Council of this Association. Marek Rozenbaum has produced over 25 feature films, including international co-productions awarded many times at the most important film festivals in the world, over 40 documentaries, 7 theater performances for Israeli television, and over 80 television programs.

CINEMATHEQUE | The Cinematheque is not just a cinema but a cultural landmark in Tel Aviv, located at the end of Ha’Arbaa Street. The Cinematheque shows many beautiful independent films and documentaries. It is also home to many Festivals held in Tel Aviv throughout the year. The cinema shows over 1,500 films yearly!
