Order and sarc. Stanislaus
Order and sarc. Stanislas granted by the Chapter of the Order of Saint Stanislaus the Martyr Bishop (08.05.1995 London-Moscow) through Gen. Roman Jagiel.
Order of St. Stanislaus the Martyr Bishop – historical Polish order established on May 8, 1765 by King Stanislaw II Augustus Poniatowski, the last elected King of the Old Republic of Poland to honor the Patron of Poland and reward those who deserve it. It was the order of a single class and the most important decoration after the Order of the White Eagle, which was established in 1325. Composition of the order, the number of which was limited to 100, had to be of noble origin for at least 5 generations. Their primary duty was to be faithful and obedient to Monarch and the state. They were also required to work for charity. The award was given in the Republic of the Two Nations, the Duchy of Warsaw, the Kingdom of Poland. Since 1831 it has been included in the honorary symbols of the Russian Empire. After 1918, not restructured by the authorities of the Second Republic. His successor is considered the Order of Poland’s Rebirth. Juliusz Nowina-Sokolnicki’s Order of Saint Stanislaus was renewed on June 9, 1979, when he served as the President of the Republic of Poland in exile (in parallel with Edward Raczyński). Renovated in the Polish emigreous environment in England, the Order of Saint Stanislaus in the hierarchy of decorations took third place after the Order of the White Eagle and military decoration – Order of Virtuti Militari, preceding Order “Polonia Restituta” established in 1921. Three months before his resignation as President of the Republic of Poland in exile (in connection with the planned presidential election in Poland), Juliusz Nowina-Sokonicki transformed the Order into the “Sovereign Order of St. Stanislaus” – the international knighthood “confirming the brotherhood of husbands of all faiths and races” .
Krzyż za Wolność i Niepodległość z mieczami
Cross for Freedom and Independence with swords given by the President of Poland at the request and decision of the Government of the Republic of Poland on emigration in London.
The Cross and the Independence Medal were established by the decree of the President of the Republic of Poland of 29 October 1930 on the Cross and Independence Medal, in order “to recognize persons who have actively deserved Poland’s independence in the pre-war period or during the war and during the Polish armed struggle. 1918-1921, with the exception of the Polish-Russian war in Poland. “10 March 1931 The Sejm adopted an amendment establishing the Medal and the Cross as military decorations. Transiently in the period 1954-1959 emigrated. Re-established in August 2010 in modified form, as Order of the Cross of Independence. By virtue of the decree of August 12, 1954, the President of Poland in Exile August Zaleski resumed the Cross and Independence Medal under a slightly changed name of the Cross and the Independence Medal of Underground Poland, thus decree the Swords of Independence with Swords “Warsaw capital city and killed: Stefan Grot-Rowecki, Mieczyslaw Niedziałkowski, Leon Nowodworski, Jan Piekałkiewicz, Kazimierz Pużak, Maciej Rataj, Cyril Ratajski, Stefan Starzyński. ” The decree was modified in 1959.
